Sober Living

A home in recovery.

A safe, well-run home where recovery stays at the center while the routines of everyday life come back into focus.

Leaving residential treatment is a significant moment. The structure that supported your recovery is behind you, and independent living is ahead. Sober living is the bridge — a safe, well-run home where recovery stays at the center while the routines of everyday life come back into focus.

Stepping Stone operates three sober living homes. Each one is a real home, not a facility. Residents manage their own daily lives, contribute to the household, and support one another. Staff are connected and available. Recovery is the common ground.

Three homes

Our homes

Enya House

Enya House has been part of Stepping Stone since 2000, when it opened in Hillcrest with funding rooted in the community's response to HIV and AIDS. It is one of the older homes in our network and carries that history forward. Today it offers a steady, affirming place to live among others in recovery — neighbors who understand where you've been and what you're building toward. Residents look out for one another here, the way our community always has.

Alice's House

Alice's House carries forward a tradition of recovery built by the community itself. Named for Alice Henry-Taylor, a longtime volunteer who helped sustain Stepping Stone through the years it worked toward a permanent home. It is a safe, well-run home where residents build the routine, connection, and stability that recovery depends on.

Alice's Back House

Next door to Alice's House, our third sober living home extends the same community to more residents. Neighbors in recovery share daily life, support one another, and move toward independent living side by side.

Who sober living is for

Is one of our homes the right fit?

Sober living is available to Stepping Stone residential graduates and to people in recovery who need structured, affirming housing and are not coming directly from our residential program. If you are looking for sober living and are not sure whether our homes are the right fit, contact us — we can talk through your situation and help you figure out the best option.

For those exploring other sober living arrangements, we can help you weigh what's available. We work with clients on housing plans and connect you to resources for the step that comes next.

Sober living placement begins through the same intake process as our other programs.

Wherever you are, we'll meet you there.

You don't have to have it figured out to reach out. Tell us what's going on and our team will help you find the right place to start.
