Get Help

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Stepping Stone has been helping LGBTQ+ people find their way to recovery for 50 years. This is a safe, affirming place — and we're glad you're here.

Take a look below to see if our program might be a good fit, then reach out. We're ready to talk.

Step one — fit

Is our program right for you?

Stepping Stone's residential program is designed for people whose primary struggle is with alcohol or drugs — and who are ready to commit to recovery in a structured, supportive setting.

Our program may be a good fit if you:

Are 18 or older
Have San Diego County Medi-Cal (or want help figuring out if you qualify)
Are ready for a residential program of at least 90 days
Feel comfortable in an LGBTQ+-affirming environment

Our program is designed for people whose primary diagnosis is a substance use disorder. We work with co-occurring mental health conditions every day — what matters is that addiction is the primary thing you're seeking treatment for right now.

If you currently need medical detox or withdrawal management, we can't provide that level of care — but we'll connect you with programs that can, and talk through next steps together.

Not sure if you qualify? Reach out anyway. If our program isn't the right fit, we'll help you find one that is.

Reach out — three short steps

Ready to take the next step?

Tell us a bit about yourself and our intake team will be in touch by the next business day — sooner if we can.

The more you share, the better we can prepare for our conversation. All information is confidential.

Step 2 of 3

Helps us prepare for our conversation. Share what you're comfortable with — none of this is required.

Step 3 of 3

About your situation

The more you share, the faster we can find the right fit.

We got your message — thank you for reaching out.

Daniel or a member of our intake team will contact you by the next business day. We'll talk through your situation, answer questions, and figure out the best next steps together.

In the meantime, if anything comes up, reach out anytime.

We're glad you took this step.

Step three — what comes after
